Oricane
Luleå, Sweden
http://www.oricane.se
Oricane aims to minimize Internet's overall energy consumption. The power consumption can easily be reduced by over 95% for data communications. Oricane’s solutions guarantee constant high speed and low storage cost. It does not matter how large the input is, as a matter of fact, as the input grows, the speed increases! Oricane's unique software solution results in cheaper, simpler, faster and more environmentally friendly systems

Sorbwater Technology
Bergen, Norway
http://www.sorbwater.com
Sorbwater has developed Sorbfloc. Sorbfloc is a seaweed based, totally green and highly effective flocculent that remove all particles from wastewater through chemical bonding. By rapid flotation and sedimentation, the particles are separated from the water phase. This results in zero discharge of oil and other harmful substances to the environment. Sorbwater’s technology enables cost reductions for water cleaning in the range of 60-75%.
InnoWind
Stavanger, Norway
http://www.innowind.no
InnoWind is offering an innovative windmill rotor system that utilizes both horizontal and vertical kinetic energy. The concept reduces the diameter on a windmill with 2/3rd while keeping the energy output. For offshore wind farms it enables large savings as multiple rotor units can be installed on one offshore installation. Other benefits are easier maintenance, easier access, less noise, less visual impact and less installation activity.

WindFlip
Stavanger, Norway
http://windflip.com/
WindFlip is a specialized barge that transport and installs floating wind turbines. The turbines are transported lying horizontally on the deck. The barge is then tilted 90 degrees, raising the turbine to upright position. The method enables turbines to be fully assembled onshore. Large savings are enabled due to lower installation and manufacturing costs compared to current launching methods. The barge can also operate in shallow waters.

BT Wood
Oulu, Finland
http://www.btwood.com
BT Wood has developed wood preservation products for industrial preservation, surface protection, termite protection, disinfection and flame-retardants. These products have the potential to revolutionize the wood preservative industry where market leaders still rely heavily on harmful toxic chemicals. Ultimately, the new products enabled by BT Wood have the potential to increase the use of wood in construction industry worldwide.

Ecospark
Stockholm, Sweden
http://ecospark.se
Ecospark’s product is a new type of LED chips based on a zinc oxide and nanowire technology. The manufacturing method uses a low temperature wet chemical process that cuts costs drastically. Compared with today’s LED technology, Ecospark’s LEDs will be more energy efficient, have 8 - 10 times lower production costs and at the same time provide a highly improved light spectrum. Ecospark has the potential to change lightning s we know it.

Sorubin
Umeå, Sweden
http://www.sorubin.se
Water aeration is a necessary but energy intensive process. Sorubin addresses the need of water aeration via its novel and highly energy saving technology. The technology offers a decrease of energy costs related to aeration of up to 90% as well as low maintenance requirements. The equipment can be easily retrofitted to existing plants and sites.

ZenRobotics
Helsinki, Finland
http://www.zenrobotics.com
ZenRobotics manufacture a robotic waste sorting system. The system utilizes off the shelf industrial robotics components and biomimetic artificial intelligence to separate materials in construction and demolition waste. Today waste processing companies are either paying high gate fees for incineration or land filling or sort this waste manually. Using a robot sorter the waste can be turned into useful products and sold at a profit without endangering the health of workers.

Applied Nano Surfaces
Uppsala, Sweden
http://www.appliednanosurfaces.com
Applied Nano Surfaces offers a patented low friction coating method to manufacturers of mechanical components. The primary applications are combustion engines, bearings and compressors where the Applied Nano Surfaces technology has a great potential to significantly enhance the performance and reduce waste of energy. The technology can easily be implemented in existing production processes.

Svenska Aerogel
Gävle, Sweden
http://www.aerogel.se
Svenska Aerogel AB offers aerogel that can be used in a wide variety of uses like filtration of air and water or for insulation. Svenska Aerogel has developed a process that makes it possible to produce aerogels at a significantly lower cost than the existing. In addition to low costs Svenska Aerogel have the ability to change the chemical and physical properties of the material to achieve different desired product characteristics.
